James Brown is known as the "Godfather of Soul". He has many popular soul and funk songs from the 50s to the 70s. This collection has 20 of his songs. My favorite 60s songs are "I Got You (I Feel Good)", "I Got the Feelin'", "Mother Popcorn (Part 1)", "Think", and "Cold Sweat". The 70s songs "(Get Up I Feel Like Being A) Sex Machine, Pt. 1", "The Payback", and "Super Bad (Parts 1 & 2)".

The Temptations had many R&B hits in the 60s and 70s. This collection has many of their songs. Some of my favorites are "You're My Everything", "(I Know) I'm Losing You", "Get Ready", "The Way You Do the Things You Do", "Just My Imagination (Running Away with Me)", and the funk song "Papa Was a Rollin' Stone".
