Let It Roll: Songs by George Harrison

Let It Roll: Songs by George Harrison

This is a collection of George Harrison's songs from the 60s to the 80s. The album also has some live versions of songs. My favorite is "Rising Sun", from his 2002 posthumous album Brainwashed. Some other songs I like are "Got My Mind Set on You", "Something" (Live), and "Here Comes the Sun" (Live). Other songs here are "Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth)", "Ballad of Sir Frankie Crisp (Let It Roll)", "My Sweet Lord", "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" (Live), "All Things Must Pass", "Any Road", "This Is Love", "All Those Years Ago", "Marwa Blues", "What Is Life", "Rising Sun", "When We Was Fab", "Blow Away", "Cheer Down", "I Don't Want to Do It", and "Isn't It a Pity".

I'm really glad to see this collection come out. Out of all the Beatles, Harrison showed the most growth from simple guitar solos in early Beatles' albums to masterpieces like "Something." His solo catalog is often overlooked and has some great songs that are worth listening to. I also love his work with the Traveling Wilburys.

Mike; Thanks for George H update and your 60's music blog. I have Brainwashed and all things must pass CD. Of course have a fine overall collection of the 60's, 70's, cd, cassette or vinyl, etc.

You may wish to check solrocker.blogspot as 60's lists on my blog. Born NYC, raised in Westchester, contemporary rock file and of course, into the music; Peter
